He then migrated to the United States and pursued his Juris Doctor (J.D.) and master’s degree in Intercultural Human Rights (“LL.M”) at St. Thomas University School of Law, where he received the CALI Book Award in Evidence. While pursuing his JD, Stephen worked as a clerk at the Lawson E. Thomas Court Center. Stephen also clerked for a boutique law firm specializing in insurance defense litigation.
